The process

Made slowly, by hand

i.

Shape

Plaster, joint compound and other mediums are draped, folded and built up in layers to create depth and movement across the surface.

ii.

Texture

Ridges, creases and soft edges are worked in while the surface sets, so every piece is truly one of a kind.

iii.

Color

Finished in elegant colors, chosen to sit quietly in a room and catch the light.

About the artist

Hello, I'm Lisa Richmeier Chaffins.

My work invites you to slow down and notice the quiet details: the curve of a fold, the softness of an edge, the way texture shifts as the light moves across it. I create pieces that speak to you and bring a lasting sense of contentment to the spaces you enjoy.

It all began when I moved to Augusta and made my home on the water, where my studio lives today. The way the water moves, catches the light and carries you somewhere far away became my greatest inspiration, and you'll find its rhythm in every layer I shape.

Each piece is made by hand, with love. If one speaks to you, tell me which piece inspires you and I'll create one in the same spirit, in colors chosen just for your space.
